Pune Bomb Blasts - India must act tough against terror

Again a very horrifying yet prototypical incident of bomb blast in Pune took place in India. Though I am not in India currently, going through the news reports, everything appeared so much like earlier terror incidences, that I wondered whether we have grown in past decade or so as a nation which can tackle this serious issue of protecting its own people against the well orchestrated terror attacks?

In last three years itself India have faced terror attacks in Delhi, Bangalore, Kanpur, Jaipur, Ahemabad, Hyderabad, Malegaon, Mumbai, and now Pune. More than 500 people have lost their lives and thousands have been injured. This series of terror attacks brings following questions to my mind:

1. Have we become so insensitive that even death of a human being does not move us to come to some serious resolve to go to the root cause of the problem and address it?

2. Except Malegaon, all other incidences have shown that the blasts are a clear handiwork of Pakistan based masterminds. Can't a sovereign nation of India take any stern action against the perpetrator nation?

3. Malegaon was into limelight during the election period and again we don't know the status of the case? Can't we expedite the investigation of such serious crime?

4. We, as Indian citizens why cant exert pressure on the government machinery through democratically acceptable means like protest marches, letters, writing articles in news papers etc.?

5. Media, which claims to be a big success story in India, why is not effective when it comes to the issue of terrorism? Why media people themselves are so politically bias reporting and analyzing terror events?

6. Basically, do our political parties consider terrorism as a national threat or a politico-religious ploy to play one up-man-ship?

7. Can we turn this blog into a serious discussion forum and come out with some concrete strategy which we can present to those who matter (Government, Media, Common People)?

Kindly help me find answers to these questions.
